Stray Less, Fix More!
Join Hands, Be A Hero
Mississippi has one of the highest euthanasia rates in the nation! Together we can change that! Participate in our animal-saving mission and help us continue creating a better tomorrow for all.
Maximum Offspring Prevented

- Cats: An unspayed female cat can have up to three litters annually, with each litter averaging 4–6 kittens. In seven years, one female cat and her offspring can theoretically produce up to 420,000 cats.
- Each year, around 920,000 shelter animals are euthanized, including 390,000 dogs and 530,000 cats.
Our Mission!
At PopFix, our mission is to reduce the stray and homeless pet population in North Mississippi.
We are committed to addressing the root cause of overpopulation through proactive sterilization efforts, community education, and collaboration with local veterinarians, rescue organizations, and compassionate volunteers. By focusing on prevention, we aim to alleviate the strain on shelters, improve the lives of animals, and create healthier, more compassionate communities.
Together, we strive to “Stray Less, Fix More!”
We’re thrilled to announce our partnership with Treat an app where you can virtually adopt real rescue dogs and make a real impact!
By simply playing the game, you can help provide treats, toys, food, and even medical care to dogs in need. It’s a fun, interactive way to support animal welfare and give every pup a better life.
A Loving Plea for Cassie and Sheba
Some animals cross our path for a moment. Others walk beside us for miles, steady and unshaken, teaching us about loyalty, patience, and the quiet kind of love that grows only with time. Cassie and Sheba are those dogs. These two older girls have been in foster with a kind woman who has given them safety, comfort, and the soft routine every senior dog deserves. She has loved them well, and in return, they have brightened her days in ways she never asked for but surely needed. Soon, her own health will require strength, recovery, and rest. She cannot carry this alone. She should not have to. Cassie and Sheba must stay together. They have lived too much life side by side to be parted now. Their bond is deep and gentle, the kind that forms only when two spirits find peace in one another.
They nap together, wander together, breathe together. Separating them would undo that sense of home they have built inside each other. They are sterilized, chipped, current on rabies, and ready. Ready for a warm floor at your feet. Ready for treats tucked into pockets.
Ready to follow you from room to room, not because they need much, but because companionship is the simple truth of their nature.
Northern rescues have slowed to a standstill. Transfers from the South have nearly stopped. These girls do not have another path forward. Their foster mom needs help. They need help. And somewhere out there is someone who has been hoping for the right moment to welcome a dog into their home. If that is you, let the moment rise. Let it unfold simply, like breath after breath.
Opening your home to these two is not only an act of rescue. It is an act of compassion, of choosing to walk gently in the world, of recognizing that suffering can be eased when we share the weight. In a life that rarely pauses, Cassie and Sheba will remind you how to slow down and live with intention. They will remind you how healing begins with kindness.
If you have been thinking of adopting in the new year, please do not wait. Let this be the time you choose love on purpose. Help these two find the home they deserve. Help their foster mom face her health journey with a lighter heart. Help create a more balanced and intentional life for everyone involved. A warm home. A soft bed. A human to trust. Two old friends who just want to stay together. That is all they ask.
